And Now For Something Completely Different

Some people cannot allow themselves to be helped even though they are begging to be helped, and I have to understand and remember that.

Hi, I have had this same pain for 2 1/2 years. Done lots of things to try to help to no avail. At present i have been trying pelvic floor trigger point release therapy - just one sess which was agony and left me bruised a lot ,but i will try agian. I am also trying capsaican cream (chilli cream) i got from the doc yesterday. She didn't want to give it but there are a lot of reports oniline about it depleating substance P which are the pain signals that go to the brain. I put it just inside the first time which was way too much so am now keeping it to the outside area. I think you are supposed to take it off again once it starts to burn which it does a lot. If you havent tried it you would be best to research it for yourself as it is very painful and it has to be used 4 times daily over 3-4 weeks at least before seeing results. To be honest having a different pain is just as good as a rest from the usual. Just tonight my husband and i looked at hyperbolic chamber therapy - agian you would need to look into this for yourself but they are used for MS patients and have good results for pain. The girl on the phone tonight said that they even had an athlete with a broken leg which would not heal and the treatment sped up the healing process. Anyway, nearly 3 years of pain all day and recently married with a husband that i cant enjoy sex with is driving me mad. I have also tried amitryptline - some pain relief for a bit, gabapentine, acupuncture - really aggrivated it but therapist had seen good results for a few others. I tried cutting out dairy, sugar, wheat, vitamins, and a hundred creams. I read that sitting on a cusion with a hole in the middle may help and wondered if you had tried this. I hope you gain some relief soon.

Dear K,

It's Andrea from Scotland again. I just wanted to tell you that I am a Christian, although through this pain i had almost completely given up on God, very frustrated as to why God did not seem to help. I went to a Christian meeting and while crying about my situation in the foyer of the hotel my husband came out the meeting to tell me that the speakers had asked us both forward for prayer. We did not really know anyone there and the speaker from America started declaring that i would be healed. He said "Healing healing, healing will come to you and to your house and in turn you will be used by God to pray for others and they will be healed. Anyway, i gave up on the capsaican cream and the 100mg Amitryptline and and feeling a bit better. I am not completely pain free but happy to be off the medication and trusting that God will continue to bring me to a full recovery. I have been thinking about you and wanted to let you know that I have been praying for you and asking God to heal you and give you your life back. I pray that he will touch you and bless you. I have been reading some articles on a web site by a Christian teacher called Andrew Wommack about God's salvation and healing and this too has been helpful. I would be interested to know how you are.

Hi Andrea,

I am glad you have been able to find some relief. I am finding a bit, too, through physical therapy. Not a lot, but it's something. God in its many forms doesn't work for me on any level any more - not since long before I had pain - but I'm pleased you are getting something of value. Thank you for your kind thoughts.
